There's a size limitation on gifs isn't it? Every gif on the FP of other sites seems to be 1 MB or under. Is this true?
'Yes' would shatter my dreams, but that's what I get. I'd deserve it.

I don't think there is. You just see them down sized by kinja. This one (Warning NSFW) is like ~30mb.

There is. It's as I thought; you can link to whatever ginormous pictures you want, but past a certain file size limit, kinja will not display them in the post.

The filesize limit should be up somewhere around 10mb.
Whenever an image or gif is unable to upload and it's under 10mb, Kinja's image processor is timing out when trying to process the file. This can occur for a number of reasons related to the file. We're working on a solution to this issue and hope to have some positive changes soon.
